Why does it take so long for clients to accept what a graphic designer says?
It's one thing to disagree based on style and personal preference, and another to disagree with layout! Surely I didn't study graphic design to be told how to do my job? I've been trying to deny the fact that some people think of graphic designers are glorified typists who still want to be in art school. Graphic design is visual communication through multiple media and means.
I doubt many people understand how much thought and work goes into a design, be it a simple layout or advertisement.
This is how I feel about the subject, I know there are varied opinions.
Designers I know would make their clients happy, while trying to explain the reasons why the elements are arranged on the design, no because of personal preference, but because of experience and the trial and error of the Designers that came before us.
